The Budapest pad

Present an emblematic street furniture collection to pay homage to the Hungarian capital. Worthy of adopting history savouring and rethinking its values an iconic furniture family was born with clean design satisfying the needs arising in the XXIst century.

Design

We started our design based on the forms of the pylons. Our priority was to let the shape of the pylon communicate, as that is the element that provides continuity between the past and the present, and in our case, that is the part of the design that makes the furniture family truly iconic. To further accentuate this design, we placed the pylons at the ends of the seating surface, and thanks to the use of flat steel we managed to come up with an airy, minimalist structure with soft architecture. Following the principles of eco-consciousness and being economical we choose wood as the material of the seating surface so that it could be easily repairable and recyclable.

the built-in lights are optional, when the bench is not in use they light up functioning as beacons - “Hey, come and sit!” when people are sitting on it, they automatically turn off, indicating that they are “in use”
